Alexander wang outlet @ shanghai

Continuing the brand theme of elevating the mundane, the outlet concept is designed as a fresh take on a big box store.

the outlet entry

aisles have been created to showcase products a more minimal scale, allowing the client to see the clothing piece by piece rather than taking in the entire store contents at once, creating a clean, sleek shopping environment often not achieved in an outlet setting.

the fixtures

Mirrors are used throughout to trick the eye into thinking the space is larger than it is, again emphasizing this play on the big box store or depot concept. The fixtures themselves are scaffolding-inspired making them extremely durable, functional and changeable to accommodate the ever changing product assortment often found in an outlet setting.

the fitting area

The fitting area continues to play with mirrors creating an experimental moment for the trying on of merchandise. Minimalist resin seating is placed adjacent for those awaiting a fitting room or waiting on a friend.
